Employees Welfare Measures
The services of more than 12000 contract/daily wages employees have been regularized under the policy of the Federal Government and supervision of the Cabinet Sub-Committee, headed by Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs.
622 Sacked Employees have been re-instated by Establishment Division/ Review
Board under the provisions of Sacked Employees (Re-instatement) Act (SERA),
2010. Approximately 8000 such sacked employees have been reinstated in other
Ministries/Divisions.

Six hundred
sixty thousand Pakistani workers were sent abroad for overseas jobs. Salaries of
all government employees were increased by more than 125 percent in the last
four years. To employ youth the government provided internship to 100,000
holders of Master degrees.
Applicability of EOB Act 1976 extended to employers with five or more workers
from July 2008 by registering more than 82,000 employers and 4.8 million insured
Persons. Previously the Act was applicable on employers with 20 or more workers.
Industrial Relations Ordinance, 2011 promulgated on18 July 2011, by the President
of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and laid before the Parliament for making it an
act of the Parliament.
