Bait-ul-Mal
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal has established Orphanages at divisional level in Pakistan. As
pilot project, 28 Pakistan Sweet Homes (Orphanages) have been established, where
2800 Children have been enrolled so far where they are being provided free food,
nutrition, medical treatment, lodging & boarding, as well as free education
through well reputed educational institutes. An amount of Rs. 261 (m) have been
spent so far.
Through Individual Financial Assistance (IFA), the poor, widows, destitute women
and orphans are supported for medical treatment, education, rehabilitation and
general assistance. An amount of Rs. 5725.049 (m) has been disbursed for
benefiting 1,35,865 individuals countrywide in last 04 years.
PBM has established National Centres for Rehabilitation of Child Labour
countrywide since 1995 for primary education. Children (Male & Female) between the ages of 5-6 years are weaned
away from hazardous labour and enrolled in these centres. The current strength
of NCs RCL is 158. Presently, 19372 students are benefiting from these centres.
Since inception, an amount of Rs. 1,399.8686 (m) has been utilized. Up till now
17285 students have passed out and 11915 have been admitted in govt schools for
further education.
Vocational Training Centres have been established throughout the country since
1995. These centres are providing free training to widows, orphan & poor girls
in different skills. The current strength of the centres is 157. Presently, 6453
trainees are benefiting from these centres. Since inception an amount of Rs.
478.5411 (m) has been utilized. Up till now, 59,897 female students have been
trained from these centres.
